Women’s bodies have highly specific needs and special considerations when it comes to exercise. It is important for trainers to understand the relationship between female hormones, weight loss/gain, proper nutrition, and program design. I have a wide range of both personal and professional experience with these issues, and am most passionate about helping women achieve body transformations regardless of the obstacles presented by their particular stage in life!

Pregnancy preparation: Are you struggling to conceive because of your weight? Are you ready to start trying to conceive and want to be at your ideal body composition before you become pregnant? Let MissFIT guide you through an exercise and nutrition program that will get you to your optimal health and fitness level before baby.
Safe prenatal training: Staying active during pregnancy is one of the best things a woman can do for both her baby and her body. Exercising regularly helps you manage stress, maintain energy, and paves the way to faster postpartum weight loss and recovery. It is imperative for trainers to understand the physical limitations of women at different stages of pregnancy, and to be able to provide modifications for workouts in order to keep the women and their babies safe. I have personally trained through two pregnancies; my prenatal routines consisted of both full body strength and conditioning, as well as interval and endurance running. I wholeheartedly believe that my persistence in training throughout both pregnancies kept me healthy and happy, prevented excessive weight gain, provided me with the strength to power through the birthing process complication-free, and allowed me to recover faster both physically and emotionally. Working one on one with a highly qualified personal trainer will give you the best outlook for a healthy and happy pregnancy!
Post-natal training: Once you are ready to get that baby-weight off (or, maybe you have been wanting it off for a while now and just can’t seem to do it on your own) MissFIT will provide you with all the tools you need to not only drop the weight, but keep it off for good! Through balance and flexibility work, full body strength and conditioning, core training and cardiovascular training, you will have your pre-baby body back in no time!
Mommy and Me: Are you frustrated because you can’t find a way to fit in a workout now that your little one has arrived? Do you feel guilty trying to find a sitter so that you can focus on improving your health and fitness level for just an hour here and there? Well, MissFIT has the solution for you! I will come to your home and train you on the spot, with minimal equipment, and even help you get the baby involved! As a fellow mom of young ones, I know how difficult it can be to carve out an hour for yourself to get a workout in (let alone take a shower or eat a hot meal). It is critical to have someone to support you through the process of making yourself a priority in your own life again and feeling good about it. Let me be that person! I will help you through your workouts, help you with the baby and keep it fun as well!
Pre and postmenopausal: As we age, we lose lean body mass and bone density, and our metabolisms steadily decline; this is particularly true for women. Also, our hormones tend to go a little haywire, and we cannot manage stress (cortisol) as well, so we tend to gain fat in trouble areas like our mid-section, the backs of our arms, and our thighs. Strength training helps maintain lean body mass, which allows us to better manage our metabolisms, while improving bone strength as well, which can prevent diseases like osteoporosis. Cardiovascular training helps keep our hearts healthy, and balance/flexibility work improves coordination, preventing falls and various other age-related injuries. MissFIT will guide you safely through workouts designed to specifically target those “problem areas,” and improve your overall health, allowing you to experience a better quality of life as you age, instead of the other way around.
